Marjorie Bruce - Princess of Scotland, (1296 – 2 March 1316) - daughter of King Robert the Bruce and Isabel of Mar, and wife of Walter, High Steward of Scotland. Legend recounts, whilst riding her horse when heavily pregnant, the horse was suddenly startled which threw Marjory to the ground at a place called ‘The Knock’, near Paisley. This caused a premature labour and her son Robert was hastily delivered at Paisley Abbey. Marjory died a few hours later, at the tender age of 19, and is buried in
